This Privacy Policy describes how NightPosture handles personal information collected through this website and the NightPosture iOS app during the private beta period.
Information we collect
Waitlist form — website and iOS app
You can join the waitlist either from the form on this website or from the NightPosture iOS app. Both routes submit to the same waitlist service, and in either case we collect and store:
- Your email address
- Your stated interest (iOS beta, chest-sensor interest list, or both)
- Optional chest-sensor preferences you choose to share (preferred attachment and price range) — these questions can be left blank
- Your consent to receive updates
- A timestamp of when you signed up (stored alongside the entries above)
The waitlist form on this website is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-protection service that may set a cookie and collect browser signals (such as device and network characteristics) that are processed by Cloudflare to distinguish people from automated traffic. Turnstile applies to website submissions only; waitlist submissions sent from the iOS app are not checked by Turnstile and do not involve that cookie or those browser signals.
We do not collect any other personal information through the website. We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising networks on this site.
The iOS app — local-first design
NightPosture is designed so that detailed position data and raw sensor data — position estimates, session timestamps, high-frequency motion samples, and your personal notes — stay on your device. Raw high-frequency sensor data is not uploaded to our servers.
Debug information is only ever exported through an explicit sharing action that you take; the app does not send it automatically.
The one exception to this local-first design is the waitlist: if you choose to join the waitlist from inside the app, the app sends the waitlist information listed above — your email address, stated interest, any optional chest-sensor preferences, and your consent — to our waitlist service, where it is stored the same way as a submission from this website.
During the experimental external-sensor pilot, the sensor can keep an onboard motion backup while the phone is locked. NightPosture imports that backup locally when you stop the session; it is not automatically uploaded to our servers.
Optional Apple Health and Oura context
With your permission, NightPosture can read available Apple Health context — sleep stages, heart rate, HRV, and respiratory rate — and, experimentally, daily Oura Sleep, Readiness, and Activity scores. This information is used only for local nightly comparisons on your device. NightPosture does not write any measurements back to Apple Health.
How we use your information
Your email address and selected-list preference are used only to:
- Send you information about beta access when a spot becomes available
- Send sensor availability or interest-list updates relevant to the list you joined
- Understand, in aggregate, which sensor attachment and price options people prefer
- Send occasional NightPosture product updates (with your consent)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data retention
List information is retained until you request deletion or until it is no longer reasonably needed for beta access and sensor availability updates.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your waitlist information at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We may use essential session cookies required for form submission functionality, and Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie as part of its bot-protection check.
Children's privacy
NightPosture is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website or app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
